Probably the greatest example of electronic music from the ‘Dusseldorf School”, which is more rhythmic and pop oriented than the ‘Berlin School’. The 22-minute long title track is actually much more fun than the fascist/robotic image of the band would lead you to believe.

This music was made with rather primitive equipment. It is way ahead of its time. You can hear its influence in electronica, techno, and synth-pop that would follow a decade (and more) later.

By the way, “kraftwerk” is German for “power station” (power plant).
