Synthesizer 55
A classic. Seven oscillators, a sequencer, and a lot of accessories in a two part, walnut case. Notably absent are such modules as: reverb, envelope follower, sample and hold, and a ring modulator. The inclusion of five ADSRs and five VCAs suggests that Moog expected users to shape sounds additively, in addition to using the VCF for subtractive synthesis. The sequencer and related modules (961 and 962) are part of the standard package.
This is the updated version of the Synthesizer IIIc where the old 901 series oscillators have been replaced with the newer 921 series oscillators.
